The Under Review Show had a bye week last week, but the boys are back to talk NFL and win everyone money in Week 15. The Week 13 Teaseburger the guys put together two weeks ago fell apart, ending a three-week winning streak, and they are looking to get back on the right track.
Two of the three legs of the Week 13 Teaseburger hit. New Orleans cruised to an easy win over Atlanta on Thanksgiving night, covering both the spread and the teaser number in a 26-18 victory, and Green Bay poured it on in the fourth quarter to beat the New York Giants 31-13. However, Carolina failed to cover the number or beat Washington, resulting in a Teaseburger loss.
The first leg of the Week 15 Teaseburger is the last game of the week. New Orleans is favored by nine points in the Superdome against slumping Indianapolis on Monday night, and teasing the Saints moves the line down to -2.
Indianapolis might have nothing to play for by the time this game kicks off. The Colts are two games behind Pittsburgh and Tennessee for the final Wild Card spot in the AFC, and the Steelers are favored by 1.5 points per the NFL betting odds at home against Buffalo. Meanwhile, Tennessee faces Houston for AFC South supremacy on Sunday, and as long as that game doesn’t end in a tie, the Titans will be 2.5 games behind the winner with three games left in the season.
The Saints are still in the hunt for a first-round bye in the NFC, and they will want to secure a home game in the Divisional Round. New Orleans does not want to travel to Seattle, San Francisco, or Green Bay for an outdoor game in January as this team thrives in a dome, and the Saints will want to put last week’s loss to the 49ers behind them.
Houston is the second leg of the Week 15 Teaseburger. The Texans are +3 on the road against Tennessee this weekend, and teasing Houston moves this line to +10.
The Texans were the most disappointing team of Week 14. Fresh off a big win over New England, Houston laid an egg at home, losing 38-24 to Denver. They were down 31-3 at halftime to the Broncos, and they must now win on the road against the Titans to continue to control their destiny in their bid for a fourth AFC South title in five years.
Deshaun Watson is the main reason behind this pick. Watson has been the third best player in the NFL this season if you go by NFL MVP betting odds, and he had his worst performance of the season against Denver last week. However, Watson is a much better quarterback than Ryan Tannehill, even though he has rejuvenated his career in Nashville.
Houston will need to stop the run to win this game though. Derrick Henry posted his fourth straight 100-yard game last week against Oakland, and Tennessee won all four of those tilts. He is averaging 5.0 YPC this season, and he has been arguably the best running back in the league since Marcus Mariota was benched. Henry has averaged at least 4.1 YPC in those seven games, with the Titans winning six of the seven to contend for a playoff spot.
New England has been great to the Under Review crew all year long, and the Patriots are the final pick of this week’s Teaseburger. The Patriots are -9 on the road against 1-12 Cincinnati this week, and a teaser brings the line down to New England -2 on Sunday afternoon.
The Pats have lost three of their last five games, but they have reliably flattened bad teams. Those three losses came against probable playoff teams in Baltimore, Kansas City, and Houston, but Cincinnati is a long way from being a contender. New England has defeated every team in the bottom half of the league by at least 14 points, and this will be a great chance for the Patriots to get right before Buffalo comes to town next week.
Cincinnati has been better than its 1-12 record indicates, but not by much. The Bengals have been without their best player all year as A.J. Green has been sidelined with an injury, and the offense has really struggled without him in the lineup. This run game has been inefficient, making Cincinnati one-dimensional.
