Week 10 NFL Football Betting: ATS Power Rankings 1-16
16. DENVER BRONCOS (5-4)
WEEK 9 RANK: 17
Denver was perhaps the surprise cover of the week considering their quarterback issues. To win outright as four-point underdogs with Brandon Allen starting is no small feat, even if it was against the Browns. They’ll have a bye this week before the degree of difficulty goes up with a trip to Minnesota.
15. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (5-4)
WEEK 9 RANK: 8
After an embarrassing loss to Houston in London, the Jaguars are turning back to Nick Foles. That makes sense considering his hefty price tag. Foles will make his return against the injury-depleted Colts after the bye.
14. HOUSTON TEXANS (5-4)
WEEK 9 RANK: 16
Another impressive performance from Deshaun Watson has Houston in sole possession of first place in the AFC South. The cover in London put an end to their two-game ATS losing streak. They’ll travel to Baltimore after the bye.
13. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (5-4)
WEEK 9 RANK: 7
The Vikings picked up their second straight ATS loss, this time losing at Kansas City as 5.5-point favorites. Next up is a trip to Dallas, where they’ll try to improve their position in the crowded NFC playoff picture.
12. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (4-3-1)
WEEK 9 RANK: 6
Just when it seemed the Colts were returning to full strength, T.Y. Hilton suffered a multi-week injury at practice and Jacoby Brissett couldn’t finish the Pittsburgh game with a knee injury. If the foreseeable future includes Brian Hoyer throwing passes to Zach Pascal, the Colts have several games as underdogs ahead of them. That likely won’t be the case this week when they host the Dolphins.
11. OAKLAND RAIDERS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 15
Oakland covered for the second time in a row and are now 1-0 ATS as favorites. They have the Thursday game this week against the up-and-down Chargers.
10. DALLAS COWBOYS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 14
The Cowboys’ five covers came against NFC East rivals and the Dolphins. That suggests a struggle against the Vikings this week.
9. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 13
Carolina’s ATS win streak came to a brutal end in a 38-point loss to the 49ers. They’ll look to rebound in a home matchup with Tennessee. The Panthers are 2-0 ATS against the AFC South.
8. BUFFALO BILLS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 11
The Bills got back on track after failing to cover two weeks in a row. Thankfully, the schedule continues to be kind to them. Their next three games: at Cleveland, at Miami, vs. Denver.
7. CAROLINA PANTHERS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 9
With Cam Newton going on IR, Carolina’s brief quarterback controversy comes to an end. The Panthers are 5-1 ATS with Kyle Allen as the starter, so perhaps this is good news for Carolina backers.
6. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (5-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 3
The 49ers’ last ATS loss (to Washington) had an asterisk because of the terrible weather. Their ATS loss to Arizona on Thursday night was legitimate as the Cardinals outscored San Francisco 10-0 in the fourth quarter. San Francisco will host Seattle on Monday night in a game that has huge playoff implications in the NFC.
5. GREEN BAY PACKERS (6-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 4
Green Bay’s terrible performance against the Chargers as four-point favorites is arguably reason enough to have them even lower. We’ll give them the benefit of the doubt considering the hot streak they were on before. A cover against Carolina would get them back in our good graces.
4. ARIZONA CARDINALS (6-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 10
The rest of the teams in the top five are likely playoff-bound while the Cardinals are two games below .500. Though they were crushed in each of their three ATS losses, the Cardinals have been surprisingly competitive in the rest of their games. San Francisco was their most impressive by far, though. They’ll travel to Tampa this week before another date with the 49ers.
3. LOS ANGELES RAMS (6-2)
WEEK 9 RANK: 5
The Rams move up two spots despite not playing due to ATS losses by Green Bay and San Francisco. Next up is a trip to Pittsburgh to face a Steelers team that continues to overachieve. The Rams are 4-0 ATS on the road.
2. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (6-3)
WEEK 9 RANK: 1
It was a tough loss to Baltimore, but the Patriots had been so dominant before that we’re not going to punish them too much just yet. They have the week off, then travel to Philadelphia in Week 11.
1. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (6-2)
WEEK 9 RANK: 2
The Saints started the season 0-2 ATS and have covered in every game since. Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara should be fully healthy now and, if that weren’t good enough, they get to play the Falcons this week. The Saints are currently 13-point favorites and covered easily as 12.5-point favorites before the bye.
