It’s a huge change as the California rivals will now play in a conference where most of the teams are in the northeast of the country. That means they’ll have to travel quite a bit. The Big Ten also tends to play a different style of football than the Pac-12, so it will be a join for these squads.

The Los Angeles Clippers just might be an under-the-radar championship contender next season. On Tuesday, they inked John Wall to a one-year deal after the Houston Rockets bought him out for his contract.
Wall didn’t play at all last season as the team decided to develop youngsters Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. Wall did average 20.6 points per game the year before, though. He’ll join Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on a roster that hopes to have championship aspirations.

3:01 PM ET: WESTBROOK OPTS INTO CONTRACT WITH LAKERS
The Los Angeles Lakers got some expected news on Tuesday when point guard Russell Westbrook accepted his player option for the 2022-23 season. Of course, that wasn’t a big surprise as Westbrook wouldn’t have made $47 million on the open market.
The Lakers would have rather he opt out and left because he was a very ineffective weapon for them last year. While he’s still talented offensively, he doesn’t seem to fit in chemistry-wise so well with the rest of the squad. The Lakers current win total for 2022-23 is set at 46.5.

Another day, another wave of departures from the PGA Tour. This time it’s Brooks Koepka, who is one of the biggest names in the sport. He’ll now join his “buddy” Bryson DeChambeau – among others – on the LIV Tour.
Koepka had tipped his hand recently when he was asked about the LIV Tour and didn’t exactly give the PGA a resounding vote of confidence. The deal is estimated to be worth in or near the hundred-million mark.

The Charlotte Hornets were surprised when Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson decided to pass on their head coaching job. Now they’ve pivoted to another veteran option in former Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns head coach Mike D’Antoni.
