Swiatek (-110) Overwhelming Favorite to Three-Peat at French Open

2024 was supposed to be the year Iga Swiatek took a serious run at the Grand Slam. But that

ended rather quickly after a shocking third-round exit at the Australian Open. She’ll look to get

back on track in Paris with others trying to close the distance. The 22-year-old is the top-ranked

women’s player by a considerably large margin. But can she run away with another title or will

there be some serious challengers at Roland Garros?

Iga Swiatek (-110)

If not for a quarterfinal loss to Maria Sakkari in 2021, Iga Swiatek would have won four straight

titles at Roland Garros. Instead, she has three of the last four, including back-to-back

championships. She’s 28-2 overall at the French Open and is the best clay court player on the

tour with no other competition standing in her way. If you are siding with Swiatek it’s best to

jump on these odds early as it’s more than likely it’ll drop below even money as we draw closer

to the 2024 tournament.

Aryna Sabalenka (+500)

Aside from Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka has been the most consistent women’s player of late.

She has reached the semis or better at the last six majors, including the 2023 French Open.

Sabalenka has won the last two Aussie Open championships and defeated Swiatek for a

the title in Madrid last season. She improves and gains more confidence with every match and

tournament, and is likely Swiatek’s biggest threat in Paris.

Coco Gauff (+850)

Coco Gauff is the best American hope in France but the last two years her run at Roland Garros

has ended at the hands of Swiatek, losing in the final in 2022, and the quarters last year. Gauff

made it to the semis at Indian Wells but lost to Maria Sakkari of Greece. She would have to

step up her game considerably if she has any chance to knock off Swiatek, assuming they meet

at some point. But the 20-year old is capable of making some noise, and at these long odds

she could pay off for those who back her in Paris.
