There are 10 different kinds of poker hands you can have. These hands are ranked from top to bottom from the Royal Flush (strongest hand in poker) to the single high card.

This is a poker variant in which the lowest hand possible wins the pot. When ranking a low hand, you always start with the highest card and move downward.

- 7-Low
- 8-Low
Royal Flush
Best possible hand in poker. Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace all in the same suit.
Straight Flush
Five cards in a row, all in the same suit.
4 of a Kind
The same card in each of the four suits.
Full House
Also called a Full Boat. A pair plus three of a kind in the same hand.
Flush
Five cards, all in one suit, but not in numerical order.
Straight
Five cards in numerical order, but not of the same suit.
3 of a Kind
Sometimes called Trips or a Set. Three of one card and two non-paired cards.
2 Pair
Two different pairings or sets of the same card in one hand.
1 Pair
One pairing of the same card with three other non-matching cards.
High Card
No matching cards, not in consecutive order and at least two different suits.
8-Low
Any upaired hand with 8 as the highest card.
7-Low
Any upaired hand with 7 as the highest card.
6-Low
Any upaired hand with 6 as the highest card.
5-Low
This is the best hand in lowball hand rankings. Also know as a "wheel"
