A Win Over Team SoloMid on Saturday Would Give Cloud9 a Perfect Start to the Summer Split

We are quickly reaching legendary status with regards to Cloud9. During the 2020 LCS Spring Split, the organization pieced together the best record we’ve ever seen in the history of the league. They went 17-1 in the regular season, and they dropped just one game in the playoffs on their way to claiming their third league title. The only team that defeated C9 in the regular season was Team SoloMid, and TSM will be looking to keep them from becoming the first North American squad to go undefeated once more this weekend.

It’s laughable how thoroughly C9 have dominated their competition this season. They have an average game duration just over 29 minutes, and they have a whopping +473 gold differential per minute according to Games of Legends. C9 have yet to even lose their outer mid lane turret once this split, so they are deserved heavy favorites per the League of Legends betting odds.

The players with the three best KDAs in the region all play for C9. Vulcan leads the way in support with a 23.8 KDA, as he consistently makes plays as a roaming support. Zven is next with a 13.5 KDA, and he would love to get revenge on his former team, while Nisqy is third with a 12.5 KDA. Blaber and Licorice are more instrumental to the team’s success though, as Blaber was the Spring Split MVP and Licorice is a superb pivot player that can flourish in a hard carry or off-lane role.

TSM made the decision to bring back Doublelift after coming up short for five straight splits in the LCS. They have only reached the finals once in that stretch, and they are on a four-game win streak coming into this weekend. However, their deficiencies in the top lane and jungle will lead to a C9 victory.

Evil Geniuses have split the last two weeks, leading to this organization falling into a tie for fourth place with FlyQuest at 5-3. They haven’t played great after closing out the Spring Split with a bang, and they could really benefit from putting Huni in the top lane. Unfortunately, that would mean they have to bench Bang, and Bang is simply too valuable at this point due to his superb play on Aphelios.

The Guardians showed that they could play with the best two weeks ago when they knocked off FlyQuest, and this team has consistently proven to be better than its individual parts. Damonte will be the key to everything, and his play makes Golden Guardians a live dog on the Esports betting odds.

COUNTER LOGIC GAMING +180

This is the best play on Saturday. Counter Logic Gaming are smoke and mirrors. They have beaten all four of the teams with a losing record, but they have yet to knock off a team with a winning record. This team has done well to put a hugely disappointing Spring Split behind them, but there are still some major issues that will need to be addressed in the offseason.

Meanwhile, Liquid have looked strong with Tactical in the bottom lane. He has teamed up well with CoreJJ, and he is responsible for 31.8 percent of his team’s damage. Jensen is still playing very well in the mid lane, so we expect Liquid to close this game out inside of 30 minutes.

It’s been an abysmal start to the season for Dignitas. They are winless at 0-8, and they could be 0-9 if they lose to Immortals on Friday night. Their poor play has led to the team making changes in top lane, mid lane, and jungle, but it’s hard to know just what to expect from them here given those moves didn’t help.

FlyQuest will likely win this game, but they are too high of favorites considering the situation of this team. Bottom laner Mash is still raw, while Solo is showcasing some of his limitations after a good spring.
