2021 LEC Spring Split Week 6 Betting Preview

There are some real concerns for FC Schalke 04’s League of Legends team. The famed Bundesliga club is reportedly €200 million in debt, and they are about to be relegated out of Germany’s top-flight after an absolutely dreadful season. Those internal troubles may have had an impact on the performance of their League of Legends team as Schalke have lost four in a row after a 5-2 start with defeats at the hands of Astralis and SK Gaming along the way. Schalke are now on the outside looking in at the playoffs with three weeks remaining in the 2021 LEC Spring Split.

2021 LEC Spring Split Week 6 Betting Odds

Excel Esports +102
SK Gaming -135

This game has enormous playoff implications. SK Gaming are currently 6-5 coming into this week with three straight wins to their credit. Meanwhile, Excel Gaming are one game behind them, but they have lost three in a row.

Neither mid laner picked up a kill the last time these teams squared off. Czekolad was much better at setting up his team with some nice Azir ultimates though. That’s been his only successful champion, as he has not been as strong on Orianna, Syndra, or Zoe. Meanwhile, SK Gaming are playing much better, so they are the pick as a slight favorite.

FC Schalke 04 -169
Misfits Gaming +128

Given their financial woes, we might see a much different Schalke over the last few weeks of the Spring Split. Abbedagge did look great but has returned back to Earth in recent weeks, and Brokenblade is back to being a coinflip player in the top lane.

The potential is clearly there for Misfits if you watch them closely. Kobbe and Vander are a reliable bottom lane, and Vetheo can outplay Abbedagge in the mid lane and open the door for Misfits to pull off the upset.

MAD Lions -357
Team Vitality +250

The addition of Crownshot has given Vitality new life. They proved they can be competitive with their win over Fnatic last Friday, and Milica is a raw talent that should improve with some more fine tuning. While the top lane and jungle are shaky positions, that is the case with MAD Lions too despite Armut’s showing on Aatrox last week.

MAD Lions are one of the better teams in the LEC, but they aren’t this much better than Vitality. Carzzy hasn’t been as great as he was last year, and Humanoid has not been nearly as impressive in the mid lane.

Rogue -667
Astralis +403

You will have to lay a lot of juice to bet Rogue in the penultimate match of Week 6, but it’s the right play. Astralis have shown they aren’t the bottomfeeder that many believed they would be in 2021, yet this team is not nearly as talented as Rogue.

Larssen is the most impressive player in the LEC. Although he doesn’t play for KDA, he has a league-best 11.2 KDA with some fantastic performances on Azir and Twisted Fate. Inspired is playing well in the jungle, and it’s hard to see a path to victory for Astralis.

Fnatic +153
G2 Esports -204

The two most beloved teams in the region will face off once again on Saturday. Fnatic wrecked G2 a few weeks ago in their first meeting, but G2 will pick up the win this time. This is G2’s MO. They sleepwalk through parts of the regular season and have fun, yet they always knock off Fnatic when it matters the most.

Fnatic lost both of their games last week, and they aren’t one of the three best teams in Europe. Bwipo has been shaky in the top lane, and Hylissang can be way too aggressive for his own good at times.
