BetOnline.ag Releases NBA Finals Props

The NBA regular season is about to restart after the All-Star break and just as we head back into action, BetOnline has posted a slew of NBA finals props. As of this moment, the three best teams in professional basketball clearly appear to be the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Milwaukee Bucks. Every big NBA conversation revolves around those three teams and every other team is peripheral in the larger scheme of things. Let’s start with a look at that prop as we cruise through the main ones on the board:

TOP 3 VS. THE FIELD

2020 NBA CHAMPIONS WILL BE THE LAKERS, CLIPPERS OR BUCKS: -280
THE FIELD: +240

The Bucks are going to be the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and the Lakers are very likely to be the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. These two teams will have home-court advantage through the first three rounds of the playoffs and the Bucks are likely to have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals – if they get there. Of the three teams mentioned here, the Clippers are the one team which will probably have to win at least one series if not two without home-court advantage. That having been said, the Clippers might play road games in their own city, Los Angeles, given that they share the same building with the Lakers: Staples Center. In truth, playing in Los Angeles is not a “road” environment for the Clippers, even if most of the fans in attendance will be Laker fans. Either the Lakers or Clippers – whoever might win a possible Western Conference Finals series – will have to win only one road series: in Milwaukee against the Bucks in the Finals.

LAKERS TO WIN THE 2020 NBA FINALS

NO: -335
YES: +275

The Lakers might have to go through the Clippers and Bucks to win the title. That is doable, but it is also tough. The fact that this is a one-team prop means there is more risk associated with betting on the Lakers here. This one-team prop is different from a two-team prop, which you will see below in the next prop:

LOS ANGELES TEAM TO WIN THE 2020 NBA FINALS

NO: -145
YES: +125

This is a two-team prop, so the prices are different from the Lakers-only prop above. Essentially, if you think the Milwaukee Bucks will NOT win the NBA Finals in 2020, you should bet yes here, because the two Los Angeles teams are clearly the foremost obstacles for the Bucks on the road to a title. Milwaukee might get challenged by the Toronto Raptors or Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference playoffs, and to be sure, the Raptors have pleasantly surprised everyone in the NBA this year. Mike Budenholzer’s teams have consistently struggled in the playoffs. While the Bucks might be a coin flip, it seems likely one of the LA teams comes out of the West.

NBA FINALS EARLY LINE

WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPION TO WIN: -250
EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPION TO WIN: +210

This prop puts the two Los Angeles teams against the one top team in the East, the Bucks. This is really good value for the Western Conference half of the prop, because either the Lakers or Clippers could cash in for you here. In the East, you’re pretty much putting all your hopes in one team, Milwaukee. It’s likely that if Toronto, Boston or Philadelphia advances to the final, they’ll be a bigger dog than +210.
