Once again the Crazy Parlay eased up against a victory, but ultimately couldn’t connect. Last week, we batted .500, hitting four of our eight selections. And if you used my parlay picks as a way to build your own, less nutty parlay, you probably made some scratch. You’re welcome. You should keep doing that.
But think about the Crazy Parlay I’m about to handcraft for you. Think about laying down a measly $10 and turning it into a trip to the Bahamas. Because we’ve come close this very year in Week 3. Tantalizingly close to the point it’s just going to haunt me for the rest of the season.
If this is your first foray into the Crazy Parlay, here’s what I do. I go through the odds, over-unders and moneylines, picking those with plus money and group them together in an attempt to get a massive payout. This isn’t just putting on a blindfold and randomly picking down the page. Oh no. We are harnessing chaos and using the predictable unpredictability of the NFL to our advantage. We had seven underdogs flat out win last week. Let’s let NFL entropy be our wingman.
Here’s what I’ve selected for you this week:
Texans +210
Panthers +170
Browns +115
Giants +150
Falcons +220
Packers +275
Rams -7.5 (+100)
We’re back down to seven games because, again, I’m really trying to win here. First off, we’ve got a gift with a plus money vig on the Los Angeles Rams -7.5 over the Tennessee Titans. If you’ve already read my Sunday Night Football preview (and you should have), then you know that I’m comfortable with that spread and feel the absence of Derrick Henry, the long trip across the country and the addition of Von Miller to LA’s defense should work out pretty well.
It’s the other six we need to talk ourselves into. So let’s do it.
Tyrod Taylor has proven he can actually win with this Houston Texans team and is making his first start since Week 2 against a Miami Dolphins squad that hates its own quarterback.
The Carolina Panthers should have Christian McCaffrey back and are facing a New England Patriots club with just one win over a team not starting a rookie.
Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns have just cleared a distraction off their team in cutting Odell Beckham Jr., their season is on the line and they’re facing a Cincinnati Bengals squad that just stumbled against the New York Jets.
The Atlanta Falcons find new, innovative ways to lose nearly every week and the New York Giants nearly upset the Kansas City Chiefs last Monday.
And, lastly, Jordan Love is making his first NFL start with a healthy offense around him (in spite of Aaron Rodgers’ best efforts) for the Green Bay Packers against that same Chiefs team that has yet to stop anyone on offense outside the Washington Football Team this season. Couldn’t you see him lighting it up? Don’t you want him to just to put it in Rodgers’ smug face?
A $10 parlay bet win on these teams pays $10,737.30.
