7:32 AM PACIFIC: ODDS ON WHEN WILL BROADWAY REOPEN?

It’s already been announced that Broadway will be closed through the end of June but when will it open up? BetOnline has posted odds on the subject and the over-under is set for September 1^st, 2020.

The actors, theaters and shows on Broadway are bleeding money. Last year, Broadway contributed $14.7 billion to the New York City economy and provided 96,900 jobs. Clearly, they’d like to get back to business as soon as possible. At the same time, they have to do it safely in a city that’s been hit really hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Will it open before the end of summer or will they have to wait until the fall?

6:12 PM PACIFIC: ODDS ON WHERE WILL JADEVEON CLOWNEY SIGN?

One of the top free agents on the market still hasn’t found a home. Jadeveon Clowney, who is an excellent passrusher, decided not to re-sign with the Seattle Seahawks when free agency opened in hopes that he’d land a bigger deal somewhere else. However, as we now move into the month of May, Clowney is still looking for work.

The Tennessee Titans are favored to sign Clowney at +150 but recent reports suggest that the Seahawks still have a good chance of bringing him back. The Seahawks cleared some salary cap space this week when they released center Justin Britt and guard D.J. Fluker, possibly indicating that they are nearing a pact. If you think there’s smoke around that fire, you can bet the Seahawks at +600.

4:47 PM PACIFIC: BENGALS RELEASE ANDY DALTON; PATRIOTS A GOOD FIT?

The Cincinnati Bengals have made it official as they’ve released former starting quarterback, Andy Dalton. That now means that we have another veteran quarterback on the open market looking for a job.

Many people have surmised that the New England Patriots would be a good fit for Dalton because he’s been a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback in the past. Many if he’s put in a good system with Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels, he might even be able to deliver better numbers than Tom Brady did last year as he faded down the stretch.

The latest Super Bowl futures show that the Patriots are at +2500 to win Super Bowl LV while the Bengals are +15000.

2:33 PM PACIFIC: COLLEGE FOOTBALL COMING TO TEXAS, IOWA

We have some good news to share on the college football scene: Texas A&M and Texas Tech will reopen their campuses in the fall, while Iowa is set to return on June 1st. Each of those schools announced their plans on Thursday, specifically mentioning that they hope to be ready for football as well.

This is a big first step as many people like ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has speculated that it will be tough for college football to have any type of season in 2020. At least with some of the Texas schools coming back online, there is now far more optimism. Now we might see other schools follow suit, which means we could start to see a general outline of how the college football season plays out.

There is a huge array of Counter-Strike esports action on the board for Thursday as we’re looking at gaming in nine different leagues. Those include:

10:59 AM PACIFIC: FOUR MADDEN SIMS ON THURSDAY

Thursday will be a busy day for Madden sims as we’ll have action starting at 2:00 PM ET running all through the night. The first game of the day will be the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders, and the 49ers find themselves as a five-point road favorite.

9:43 AM PACIFIC: WHERE WILL CAM NEWTON PLAY IN WEEK 1, 2020?

The Carolina Panthers released Cam Newton earlier this offseason and as we’re through the NFL Draft and mostly through free agency, the former Pro Bowler is still looking for a job. Many people figured he’d have a home by now but he’s quickly run out of options.

BetOnline has odds up on the board for where he lands and the New England Patriots are favored at +150. That’s because they’re one of the few teams that might still be looking for a starting quarterback. The Washington Redskins, who are now coached by Newton’s former coach, Ron Rivera, are second in line at +175.

6:47 AM PACIFIC: CHINESE TAIPEI BASEBALL COMING UP ON THURSDAY MORNING

Those craving a little bit of baseball action will get it on Thursday morning out of Taiwan. We’ve got one game up on the board as the Uni-Lions take on the Chinatrust Brothers. First pitch goes at 6:35 AM ET with the Chinatrust Brothers being listed as a -185 favorite.

Chinatrust Brothers are currently in first place as they are 9-2 so far. They have won two in a row. The Uni-Lions are 5-7 through 12 games, but have won three of their last four games. Their pitching has been terrible as they’ve allowed 94 runs so far – the most in the league.

5:51 PM PACIFIC: UFC 3 SIMS FOR FRIDAY

With the popularity of sims growing by the day, BetOnline will be running UFC 3 sims every Friday and Saturday night. This Friday, we’ll see some interesting battles as Cain Velasquez will take on Fabricio Werdum in the Heavyweight Division while Daniel Cormier will take on Vitor Belfort in the Light Heavyweight Division.

3:47 PM PACIFIC: FIELDS NOW FAVORED TO WIN THE 2021 HEISMAN TROPHY

In a bit of a bizarre swing, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is no longer favored to win the 2021 Heisman Trophy. He’s slipped into second place behind Ohio State’s Justin Fields. That’s a bit of a surprise as Lawrence is expected to be the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and nothing has really changed in the last week to suggest that he should fall in this category.

That means that bettors just feel like Fields will have the better showing. Remember, he tore it up in the Big Ten last season, which is a much more challenging conference than the ACC. Trevor Lawrence mostly slept-walked through the regular season whereas Fields had better numbers against better competition. It’s possible that bettors feel the same theme will play out in the coming season.

2:09 PM PACIFIC: NFL ROOKIE RUNNING BACK PROPS POSTED

Now that the 2020 NFL Draft is behind us, we can take a look at head at how the players will perform in the upcoming season. BetOnline has posted running back props on all of the main backs with over-unders on how many rushing yards they’ll have.

Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire has the highest number on the board as he’s posted at 950 with the over juiced to -130. We’ve got four fresh Madden sims on tap for Wednesday with the first game kicking off at 2:00 PM ET. As a reminder, all of these sims are played out on Madden 20 with the rosters from the end of the 2019-20 season. Games have 15-minutes quarters and a 10-minute halftime.

We’ve got a full day of action coming up with Russian table tennis as the Moscow Liga has a huge card. We’re looking at a total of 33 matchups on the day with the earliest wave about to start at 12:30 PM ET with the last action coming at 6:30 PM ET.

In case you missed it, we’ll have a special golf event this Sunday when four sports legends step onto the field in the Champions for Charity. Tiger Woods will be paired with Peyton Manning while Phil Mickelson will team with Tom Brady. The Woods-Manning team is a -225 favorite to win while Mickelson-Brady come in at +195.

6:41 PM PACIFIC: MLB REGULAR SEASON WIN PERCENTAGES

With rumors heating up that the 2020 MLB season will be a shortened one that starts in June, BetOnline has changed the way it’s handling regular season win totals. Since we don’t know how many games will actually be played, the win totals have been changed to win percentages. It’s a similar idea but now we’re looking at what their season-ending winning percentage will look like.

Of course, just like with win totals, the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers lead the way as both are at 62.5%. That means that they both have finish with a win total of .626 or higher to go over or .624 or lower to go under.

4:59 PM PACIFIC: NBA TO ALLOW TEAMS TO OPEN PRACTICE FACILITIES

The NBA looks like it’s making its first steps to a return. On Monday, they have announced that teams are able to return to practice as long as they are located in cities that have eased up social distancing rules. We don’t know specifically which places will open up just yet but can make some early guesses.

For example, the state of Tennessee is reopening businesses at 50% capacity, Meanwhile, it looks like the state of Texas is about to get back to business too. At the very least, that might mean that teams like the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks can get back on the court.

In terms of what the rest of the season looks like or how the games will be played, we still don’t have any details. However, if the NBA does go directly to the playoffs, BetOnline has already posted series prices, which can be found at the link below.

3:39 PM PACIFIC: LIGUE 1, LIGUE 2 SOCCER WILL NOT RESUME THIS SEASON

Although it appears that some European soccer leagues are on the cusp of a return (see: Bundesliga), it appears that France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 leagues won’t be returning to action this year. On Tuesday, it was announced that both will not be back due to COVID-19.

Part of the challenge here is that Edouard Philippe, the prime minister of France, has banned all sporting events through the end of August. While the country plans to ease coronavirus lockdown restrictions on May 11^th, sporting events are not going to be back in the short-term. That forced the French soccer league’s hand into cancellation.

1:57 PM PACIFIC: HOUSTON ASTROS ODDS BOOSTER SPECIAL

The Houston Astros were mired in controversy heading into the 2020 MLB season but much of that has been forgotten due to the coronavirus outbreak. At any rate, the talented team is still among the favorites to win the American League and if you think they’re a good bet, you can get them at a better price today.

Typically, the Astros are at +400 to win the AL but for today only, you can get a boosted price of +600. That means you’re getting a boost by a couple hundred dollars. Remember that these odds booster specials only last the day, though.

There’s a trio of important matchups in League Of Legends BRCC tonight with the three showdowns starting at 9:00 PM ET, 10:00 PM ET and 11:00 PM ET. The first two are expected to be relatively competitive while the third and last matchup is expected to be a blowout. In that contest, Havan Liberty Gaming is a huge -667 favorite over Intergalaxy Tigers Gaming.

It’s not 100% official but it looks like it’s about as close as it gets: the NASCAR season is slated to get restarted on Sunday, May 17^th with the Darlington 400.  The teams have been sent out a prospective schedule for May and June, and here’s what it looks like:

7:18 AM PACIFIC: FITZPATRICK FAVORED OVER TUA TO BE DOLPHINS WEEK 1 STARTER

Now that the 2020 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, the Miami Dolphins have some decisions to make at the quarterback position. They drafted Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but they also have veteran holdover Ryan Fitzpatrick and former first-round pick Josh Rosen. The question now is who’ll be the team’s Week 1 starter?

Although Tagovailoa is now viewed as the quarterback of the future, it’s Fitzpatrick who is a -275 favorite to start in Week 1. Tagovailoa is at +200 while Rosen is a long shot at +2500. If you think you have a good read on who is the Week 1 starter, bet the lines from the link below.

7:22 PM PACIFIC: TUESDAY MORNING BASKETBALL IN TAIWAN

While the 2020 NBA season is still on pause, we’ll have some action on the hardwood out of Taiwan on Tuesday morning. We have one game on the board as the Yulon Luxgen Dinos will take on Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer is a five-point favorite with a total of 170.5.

In case you’re wondering about the Chinese Taipei SBL standings, Taiwan Beer is the top team in the league after 16 games as they’re 11-5. The Yulon Luxgen Dinos are in second place at 9-7.

5:26 PM PACIFIC: LAWRENCE FAVORED TO BE FIRST PICK IN 2021

Now that the 2020 NFL Draft has been completed, the odds to be the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft have been posted. Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is favored to be the first pick in the draft but could we see a surprise? As you might recall, Tua Tagovailoa was expected to be the sure-fire No. 1 pick last season but much changed after Joe Burrow emerged.

If it’s not Lawrence, the other options on the board are Justin Fields, Penei Sewell, Gregory Rousseau and Ja’Marr Chase. Expect to hear plenty of “Tank for Trevor” or “Lose for Lawrence” chatter this season as rebuilding teams try to land the top pick.

3:58 PM PACIFIC: WHO’LL START WEEK 1 FOR CHARGERS?

The Los Angeles Chargers drafted a quarterback with their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and now we’re left to wonder how quickly they’ll trust him. The Chargers selected Oregon’s Justin Herbert with the sixth pick in the draft but they’ve long held the opinion that veteran Tyrod Taylor will be the Week 1 starter.

BetOnline has posted lines on the subject with Taylor at -400 to be the team’s Week 1 starters while Herbert is a +250 underdog. We still have a long way to go until Week 1, so if you think Herbert has a chance, he might be offering some good value here.

2:29 PM PACIFIC: BENGALS ODDS BOOSTER SPECIAL

There’s a new Odds Booster Special on Monday and this one focuses on the performance of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020. As you might recall, they had the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and selected quarterback Joe Burrow, who is expected to change the direction for the franchise. Meanwhile, they also added wideout Tee Higgins at the top of the second round.

In terms of the Odds Booster Special, the Bengals are now at +900 to make the playoffs. They have an uphill climb in the AFC North as the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns are all good teams. 12:43 PM PACIFIC: RUSSIAN SOCCER ON HOLD

One of the few sports we had going during the coronavirus pandemic was Russian soccer but now that league has been put on hold. With the pandemic just starting to hit Russia hard, it appears that they’re now going to hold off of action until late June at the very earliest.

As far as we know right now, the league will keep its promotion and relegation as is if the season can’t be completed. They are looking at dates from June 21st to June 28th to see if it’s possible for the teams to resume the season at that point. Each of the teams have eight more games to play.

7:02 AM PACIFIC: RUGGS 2020 RECEIVING TOTAL SET AT 800

The Las Vegas Raiders surprised a number of people when they drafted wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. They ended up having their pick of the litter but they went with Ruggs over CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy.

Ruggs will step into an exciting offense that features Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, Tyrell Williams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow. The question is how many receiving yards will Ruggs finish with this year? The odds are set at 800, which is lower than Lamb at 850 and Jeudy, who is at 900.

5:58 PM PACIFIC: MONDAY MORNING BASEBALL IN SOUTH KOREA

If you’re looking to get a taste of some baseball action, South Korea has five games on the board for Monday morning. The games will start late Sunday night/early Monday morning when the first pitch is thrown in the Lotte Giants-Samsung Lions and KT Wiz Suwon-Hanwha Eagles games at 1:00 AM ET.

2:08 PM PACIFIC: CEEDEE LAMB 2020 PROPS

One of the bigger surprises of the 2020 NFL Draft was that Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb fell to the Dallas Cowboys. Lamb was actually favored to be the first receiver off the board. Instead, he somehow turned out to be third behind Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy.

At any rate, Lamb landed in a good spot with the Cowboys, who already have an explosive offense. BetOnline has posted receiving totals for Lamb and his first-year number is at 850. If you think he finishes with 851 receiving yards or more, you can bet the over at -140. Alternately, the under is priced at EVEN money.

12:40 PM PACIFIC: INDY 500 ODDS POSTED

The 2020 Indianapolis 500 has been moved to August and now we have betting lines up on the event. Josef Newgarden and Will Power are the current co-favorites to win as both are at +750. Meanwhile, Alexander Rossi is at +800 while Simon Pagenaud is at +900.

Roughly speaking, we know that Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert are the next two off the board – although the order is uncertain – and the Jordan Love should be next. When we take a look at the second tier of quarterbacks, though, there’s rampant debate as to who is the top player.

A lot of scouts like Washington’s Jacob Eason because of his arm strength and measurables, but he didn’t underachieved for the Huskies. Jake Fromm played well at Georgia but many feel his ceiling is low. As for Jalen Hurts, he’s a mobile quarterback who was offers a different skillset than the other two, but who knows how teams have him graded?

Eason is favored to go first at -180 while Hurts is at +275 and Fromm is at +360.

In the case that we do move ahead to the NBA Finals and somehow have a Los Angeles Clippers-Milwaukee Bucks finals, we have some lookahead lines as to how the spreads would look.

The Bucks would be the home team for the Finals and they’d be roughly favored by -3/-3.5 in their four home games. As for the Clippers, they’d be been posted as a prohibitive one-point favorite in the three games they’d be hosting. No totals are up on the board.

A new report has surfaced that the Cleveland Browns are exploring the possibility of trading star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. While he was acquired last offseason from the New York Giants, the thinking was that he’d be a real difference maker for the Browns. Instead, he only caught 74 passes for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.

It looks like we’re finally getting some good news back in terms of the professional sports coming back. On Monday, a report from Golf Digest suggested that the PGA Tour is set to resume its 2020 season in Texas on June 11^th.

We had heard rumors before from Golf Digest last week when it was reported that the PGA Tour sent a memo to players that they are aiming for the Colonial but those were quickly denied by the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. However, this time around, it appears that the reporting was accurate and we will, in fact, see our first golf action at the Charles Schwab Challenge from June 11^th-14^th. Although, don’t expect any fans to be in attendance.

In case you missed it, we’ll still see three majors played this season as The Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open are still on the schedule. The 2020 Open has been canceled.

4:01 AM PACIFIC: CHIEFS FAVORED TO WIN MORE GAMES THAN THE 49ERS IN 2020

BetOnline has released NFL win total head-to-heads and one of the most interesting matchups on the board is the San Francisco 49ers going up against the Kansas City Chiefs. A new story for ESPN’s Jeff Passan came out today suggesting that the 2020 MLB season will either be played out in Arizona or will ‘bust’, as he put it. We’re not quite clear on what that means but it likely suggests that we’re either looking at some kind of shortened season with all of the teams housed in Arizona or we’re not going to have a season at all.

It’s hard to know how realistic that is. Some others have speculated that the league could start the season in Arizona but as travel restrictions are lifted, get back to business by September, October and os on. We’ll have wait and see.

For now, the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are both tied with the shortest odds to win the World Series at +400 while the Houston Astros are at +1000 and the Atlanta Braves are at +1800.

We were expecting the Tour de France would have to be delayed as the country of France is still in the midst of a lockdown. President Emmanuel Macron has extended the ban on gatherings through to mid-July, which means the 21 day-long cycling event had to be put on pause.

The odds to lead the NFL in rushing in 2020 have been released and Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is favored to lead the way. Henry led the league last season, totaling 1,540 yards while Cleveland Browns runner Nick Chubb was second at 1,494.

In terms of the odds for this year, Chubb is third in line at +800 as he’s behind Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey was third un rushing last season with 1,387 yards but keep in mind he had just 287 attempts. Henry had 303 while Chubb had 298.

In case you missed it, UFC 249 will have to be rescheduled. UFC President Dana White was adamant about running it next weekend but it’s not going to happen. Apparently, some executives at Disney, who have a partnership with the UFC through ESPN, asked him to stand down for now.

At this point, we’re not sure if we’ll see Tony Ferguson versus Justin Gaethje or Ferguson versus Khabib Nurmagomedov. Of course, fans want to see the latter but flight restrictions and travel bans will have to be lifted.

Rumors have surfaced that the NHL is considering finishing up their 2019-20 season in the state of South Dakota. While it’s unclear exactly how that will look, the reports suggest that if they do get back to action, they’ll go straight to the playoffs.

If that’s the case, it’s worth a quick refresher of the NHL futures. In the Western Conference, the Vegas Golden Knights are favored at +325 while the Colorado Avalanche are at +350 and the St. Louis Blues are at +450. The CFL has officially announced that the 2020 season will not start before July. This makes sense as it lines up with the restrictions that certain cities have placed on gatherings like Calgary and Toronto. Both cities have canceled all events through the end of June.

The CFL did announce that they’re still hoping to play a full season, though, which is good news. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are currently favored to win the 2020 Grey Cup at +300 while the Saskatchewan Roughriders are at +350 and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are at +450.

One of the good pieces of news announced today was that the 2020 Ryder Cup is scheduled to go on as planned. There had been some concern that the event would have to be moved to 2021. As a result, BetOnline has posted both the two-way and three-way lines for the event.

As far as golf is concerned, Golf Digest is reporting a mid-June report. While that is still very tentative, we do know that the PGA Championship will be scheduled for August, the Ryder Cup for September and the Masters in November.

The WWE has yet to officially cancel Wrestlemania though local officials in Tampa have asked them to do so. The promotion is considering their options which include holding the show without fans.

The World Surf League (WSL) has cancelled all events for the month of March:
