Rich Rod Drops Truth Bombs on $50M CFB Rosters & Pat White's Retirement
College football fall camps are officially underway! Pacman Jones is back in the studio for an explosive college football kickoff episode of Politely Raw, presented by BetOnline.
First, Pacman is joined by his former head coach and current West Virginia Head Football Coach, Rich Rodriguez! Coach Rich Rod opens up about his recent cataract eye surgery, entering Year 2 back in Morgantown, and why Bobby Bowden's "4-Phase" program formula still holds true today. He breaks down the QB battle between OU transfer Michael Hawkins Jr. and Scotty Fox, Coach Rick Trickett's offensive line unit, and calls out modern locker room culture and TikTok dancing. Plus, Rich Rod offers his radical solution to fix college football's "Wild West" era—including a 60 to 80 team football-only super conference with regional rivalries—before reflecting on legendary West Virginia memories, couch burning, and Pat White's upcoming jersey retirement.
Next, head coach Charles Huff joins the show to discuss taking over at Memphis and prepping for Week 0. Coach Huff breaks down managing a staggering 71 new portal transfers, the chaos of recent court rulings granting fifth-year eligibility days before camp starts, and how to navigate NIL wage disparities between Power 4 programs and the rest of college football.
