2026 World Series Odds: Dodgers Favorite to Three-Peat
Summary
With Spring Training underway, the Los Angeles Dodgers are overwhelming favorites to win the 2026 World Series at +225 odds. Their already formidable roster, featuring stars like Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, was further strengthened by signing Kyle Tucker and Edwin Diaz, making them a historic preseason favorite.
Other top contenders include the New York Yankees (+1000), bolstered by re-signing Cody Bellinger, and the New York Mets (+1200), who aggressively added Bo Bichette and Luis Robert Jr. The Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, and Boston Red Sox are also among the leading challengers, all listed between +1400 and +1600 odds.
Spring Training is officially underway as pitchers and catchers are reporting to Arizona (Cactus League) and Florida (Grapefruit League) with full-squad workouts beginning next week and exhibition games starting later in February. With Opening Day scheduled for March 25th, it’s time to take a look at who is favored to win the 2026 World Series.Â
Los Angeles Dodgers (+225)
The Dodgers were already considered favorites heading into the season, but the Kyle Tucker signing has turned the two-time champions into heavy favorites for 2026. They’ve moved from +300 now down to +225, making them one of the biggest pre-season favorites in MLB history. L.A. is now a near-lock for the NL West as their odds are now a ridiculously low -750. The Dodgers were already stacked with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, but they added even more talent by bringing in Tucker and closer Edwin Diaz. The pitching rotation is anchored by elite arms, including Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, and Blake Snell.  Â
New York Yankees (+1000)
The New York Yankees are always considered contenders and made a big offseason splash by re-signing outfielder Cody Bellinger to a five-year, $162.5 million deal. The Bronx Bombers lost to the Jays in the ALDS but still have all the pieces to contend again. After coming up short, the Yankees feel they can ‘run it back’ this season with essentially the same roster. The Yankees led MLB with 849 runs scored, and they still have 3-time MVP Aaron Judge, who is still in his prime. Gerrit Cole should be back in the fold by May or June, and getting a full season out of prospect Cam Schlittler. GM Brian Cashman also remodeled the bullpen, so the outlook for the Yankees does look bright; it’s a matter of returning to the World Series and finally winning it for the first time since 2009.
New York Mets (+1200)
The New York Mets were considered contenders last year, only to finish 83-79 and miss the postseason. But this offseason included some aggressive roster additions that have made them, once again, one of the favorites in the National League. The Mets added Bo Bichette, Freddy Peralta, and Luis Robert Jr., and already have superstars Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor. T. Peralta is expected to lead the rotation, with top prospect Nolan McLean (2.06 ERA in 8 starts) added to the mix. Despite a big turnover, the Mets are expected to be more balanced and better equipped to compete.
Atlanta Braves (+1400)
After seven straight years of making the postseason, the Braves missed the playoffs in 2025. While it was a down season, the roster is full of players who remain from the 2021 World Series champion squad. The rotation is deep with Spencer Schwellenbach, Spencer Strider, and 2024 Cy Young winner Chris Sale. Superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. is healthy and ready to produce. The bullpen is strong, led by Robert Suarez and Ha-Seong Kim. The Braves should be able to bounce back and, once again, get into the playoffs. After that, we’ll have to see how healthy they are and who is producing at the right time.
Toronto Blue Jays (+1400)
The Blue Jays had two chances to win the World Series in 2025 but fell heartbreakingly short. Can that emotional pain still linger in 2026? The Jays still have a roster ready to contend with
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is leading the way. The pitching staff is in a fantastic spot with veterans such as Shane Bieber and Kevin Gausman, along with young stars like Trey Yesavage, who could eventually be the team’s ace. Toronto also landed pitcher Dylan Cease in free agency to bolster the rotation. While Ernie Clement, Addison Barger, Daulton Varsho, and George Springer are back, the Blue Jays did lose Bo Bichette to free agency. It’s not often a team returns to the World Series, but the Jays do have the pieces to not only get back, but capture their first title since 1993.Â
Seattle Mariners ( +1400)
Last season was a revelation for the Mariners as they won their first AL West title in 24 years and had two chances to win the ALCS and reach the World Series, only to lose to the Jays in seven games. Seattle has one of the best foundations in baseball with an elite starting five, which includes Bryan Woo, Logan Gilbert, and George Kirby, while All-Star catcher Cal Raleigh and Julio RodrĂguez lead the offense and defensive side. Seattle did address a big need, re-signing Josh Naylor to a five-year deal to help with run production. The M’s still have a few holes, including second and third base, so there could be more moves before Opening Day. Still, with a young rotation and building off recent playoff success, the Mariners have the offensive weapons and pitching depth to compete in the AL and can offer great value in the preseason.
Boston Red Sox (+1600)
The Red Sox are seen as a legitimate contender in 2026, but they play in one of the toughest divisions in baseball. They did make the postseason last year, only to be knocked out by the Yankees. Boston’s rotation and bullpen are deeper than a year ago, and the club’s mix of veterans and ascending stars gives them flexibility. The team made a splash trade for Caleb Durbin to boost infield production. Pitching ace Garrett Crochet was sensational in 2025, going 18-5 with an ERA of 2.59. Jarren Duran & Roman Anthony add high-end outfield bats with big-league impact, while Aroldis Chapman can be an elite closer if he can hold form. Boston’s path to a title hinges on health, young talent breaking out, and tightening up against tough AL rivals.Â
