NFL WEEK 10 BEST BETS: MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in a long-standing NFL rivalry. The Packers lead the all-time series 28-20, but the Eagles won their most recent playoff matchup. Philadelphia enters well-rested after a bye week and a strong offensive performance, while Green Bay is looking to rebound from an unexpected loss to the Carolina Panthers.

The best bets suggested are player parlays. For the Eagles, a parlay of Jalen Hurts throwing for over 193.5 yards, scoring a touchdown, and Saquon Barkley scoring a touchdown pays +900. For the Packers, a parlay of Jordan Love throwing for over 235.5 yards, getting two touchdowns, Josh Jacobs scoring, and Romeo Doubs having over 53.5 receiving yards pays +525. Combining all these bets into one parlay offers a +3300 payout.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT GREEN BAY PACKERS (pk, O/U: 46)

Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay. Wisc.

Kickoff: 8:15 EST

Broadcast: ABC/ESPN

THE HISTORY

Believe it or not, this is one of the older rivalries in the sport, going all the way back to 1933. In spite of the time frame involved, this will just be the 49th all-time meeting between the two franchises, with the Packers currently holding a 28-20 advantage in the head-to-head. They last faced off in the NFC Wild Card game back in January. Philadelphia took the win 22-10 in a game that was closer than that in real life. In the victory, Jalen Hurts was 13 of 21 passing for 131 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Saquon Barkley rushed 25 times for 119 yards. DeVonta Smith caught four passes for 55 yards. Jordan Love was good for 20 of 33 passing for 212 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss. Josh Jacobs rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 18 touches. Jayden Reed caught four passes for 46 yards.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (5-2)

Philly comes into this game well-rested from a bye and a solid 38-20 beat down of the New York Giants two weeks ago. Hurts was an efficient 15 of 20 passing for 179 yards, four touchdowns and no picks in the route. He added 22 yards on the ground and was sacked four times. Barkley had his best game of the season before injuring his groin, rushing 14 times for 150 yards and a score. Tank Bigsby picked up the slack with nine carries for 104 yards. DeVonta Smith hauled in six passes for 84 yards. The defense sacked Jaxson Dart five times and held New York to just 68 total yards on the ground.

GREEN BAY PACKERS (5-2-1)

There was no joy in Mudville last week as the Packers took a shocking stumbling loss to the suddenly relevant Carolina Panthers, 16-13, in the ugliest game not played by the Denver Broncos this season. Jordan Love was 26 of 37 in the loss for 273 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He was sacked once. Josh Jacobs had 87 yards on 17 carries. Romeo Doubs caught seven passes for 91 yards and, possibly, ended up in 147 new big head memes. The defense sacked Bryce Young once and picked him off once.

BEST BETS

I picked the Packers back in the Friday Afternoon quarterback, but I’m not feeling great about it. Green Bay, if they’re a serious contender, has to bounce back after a bad loss the week before. And I’d feel better about it if the Eagles weren’t coming in off a bye. Saquon Barkley appears healthy enough to play and so does AJ Brown, for whatever difference that will ultimately make. Back in The FAQ I said 23-20 Packers here but not only am I not confident about the result, I’m starting to feel we might be in for a higher scoring affair. Either way, neither of those qualifies as a Best Bet this week, so we’re going all player parlays.

For the Eagles, Jalen Hurts passing for over 193.5 yards, with an anytime touchdown plus a Saquon Barkley TD pays at +900 and that looks like easy money to me.

On the Pack side, I like Jordan Love to pass for more than 235.5 yards, get 2+ passing TD, Josh Jacobs to score a touchdown and Romey Doubs to catch more than 53.5 yards of passes. All that together pays at +525

And if you want to toss all those bets into one giant parlay, it pays +3300 and looks very attainable with even a halfway decent game.
