AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Odds And 2026 PGA Signature Event Preview, Picks And Props
Summary
The PGA Tour’s first Signature Event of 2026 is the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in Monterey, California. Defending champion Rory McIlroy makes his season debut, joining world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as a favorite in the 80-player, no-cut field competing for a $20 million purse. The first two rounds will be played at both Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill, with amateurs and celebrities participating.
Key contenders include recent winners like Chris Gotterup and past champions such as Justin Rose. The iconic, coastal courses demand precise approach play and short-game skill, with unpredictable weather often a major factor. Betting markets highlight Scheffler and McIlroy as the top favorites, while players like Viktor Hovland and Jason Day are also considered strong contenders based on current form and past performance at the venue.
Following “The People’s Open” in Phoenix and the second win of 2026 for Chris Gotterup, the top PGA pros head to beautiful Monterey, CA for the first Signature Event of the year at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Rory McIlroy returns as defending champion making his 2026 PGA Tour debut as world No. 2 behind Scottie Scheffler. Those two are the favorites to capture the $3.6 million top prize for the $20 million purse with the top 3 finishers earning more than $1 million and top 10 more than $500,000.
The no-cut event features 80 top players in the field including 42 of the top 50 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) with 7 past champions. Amateurs and celebrities will join the PGA pros for the first two rounds played at Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 12-13, 2026.
The Courses
- Pebble Beach Golf Links – 6,989 yards, Par 72 (3 rounds)
- Spyglass Hill Golf Course – 7,071 yards, Par 72 (1 round)
Both courses feature smaller Poa annua greens with ryegrass fairways and rough. Pebble Beach is the shortest Par 72 course on the PGA Tour with the tiniest greens (ave. 3,500 square feet) and 116 sand bunkers. Spyglass Hill greens average 5,000 square feet and are still below Tour average (6,000). Approach play is once again a key stat, and especially on shorter approach shots as half those at Pebble Beach are from inside 150 yards. Pebble Beach also yields the lowest Greens in Regulation percentages on Tour, making Strokes Gained: Around the Green a key stat for this week. Course management and strategy skills, ball placement, layups and approach with proven ability to control trajectory and play in potential windier and breezy conditions will set players apart at Pebble Beach.

Recent Results and Top Finishers Returning to Pebble Beach
This is the third year of the Pebble Beach tournament as a Signature Event. Rory McIlroy (-21) won last year across a softer course by 2-shots over his good friend Shane Lowry. Also finishing top 10 last year were Justin Rose (T3), Russell Henley (T5), Sepp Straka (T7), Scottie Scheffler (T9), Billy Horschel (T9), Taylor Pendrith (T9), Si Woo Kim (12) and Jason Day (T13). The 2024 winner was Wyndham Clark (-18) by 1 shot over Ludvig Aberg when the event was shortened to 54 holes due to severe weather with Clark shooting a course record 60 on Saturday to secure the victory. Scottie Scheffler (T6), Justin Thomas (T6), Jason Day (T6), Sam Burns (10), Justin Rose (T11), Patrick Cantlay (T11), Keegan Bradley (T11), Collin Morikawa (T14) and Si Woo Kim (T14) also finished top 15. The 2023 event at Pebble Beach also had terrible weather conditions with 30+ mph winds and a Monday finish where Justin Rose claimed the victory.
The weather could be a factor again at the 2026 Pebble Beach event with advance Sunday forecast calling for rain. Changing weather conditions are in play with Justin Rose indicating such following Tuesday’s abbreviated practice round with only a wedge and putter.
“It was actually a lovely morning and you’re sort of thinking to yourself, ‘Oh, they’ve got the weather forecast completely wrong, blue sky, it was calm,’” Rose said. “Then literally it was like a switch, like 30-mile-an-hour winds. The ocean started looking angry. The clouds started rolling in.”
Pebble Beach Golf Links has hosted six U.S. Open’s since 1972 with the most recent PGA major in 2019 when Gary Woodland captured the title by 3-shots over Brooks Koepka. Other U.S. Open winners at Pebble Beach include Jack Nicklaus (1972), Tom Watson (1982), Tom Kite (1992), Tiger Woods (2000) and Graeme McDowell (2010).
Upcoming U.S. Opens at Pebble Beach are scheduled in 2027, 2032, 2037 and 2044.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks And Stats
Players to target in outright win market and top 10 or 20 finish (odds for top 10)
- Rory McIlroy (+1600 and 140 top 10)
- Tommy Fleetwood (+2800 and +275 top 10)
- Viktor Hovland (+3000 and +265 top 10)
- Maverick McNealy (+3500 and +275 top 10)
- Matt Fitzpatrick (+4000 and +300 top 10)
- Jason Day (+5000 and +400 top 10)
Other bigger longshots to consider include Michael Kim and Pierceson Coody, who ranks No. 1 in this field in Putting on Poa annua greens. Coody makes his Pebble Beach tournament debut having finished top 20 in four straight events to start 2026 including two top 10s with a runner-up finish.
Rory McIlroy makes his 2026 PGA Tour debut at the event he won last year. His game is still sharp having performed and played well in a number of DP World Tour events in recent months. The 36-year-old Irishman and 5-time major winner showed Total Driving strength in winning this event last year taking aggressive lines and cutting corners to set up more birdie and eagle opportunities.
Viktor Hovland won the U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach and his short game continues to steadily improve. The 28-year-old Norwegian finished T10 last week in Phoenix with a strong weekend that included shooting 65 Saturday when co-leading the field in strokes gained stats. Hovland finished T22 here last year and T13 in 2023 each time reaching 10-under par for the tournament.
Maverick McNealy is off to a solid start in 2026 finishing T13 last week in Phoenix and top 10 at the Farmers event at Torrey Pines. The 30-year-old Stanford product and former No. 1 ranked amateur has been a perennially good West Coast performer and did finish 2nd at this event in 2021 but failed to crack the top 30 the last two years when Pebble Beach became a Signature Event. His signature win is coming soon now playing his best golf the past two years after leading the Tour in SG: Putting in 2023.
Jason Day finished T13 and T6 in this event the last two years including shooting 63 on Saturday in the shortened 2024 event. The 38-year-old also finished top 5 in this event five straight years starting in 2017.
