Super Bowl 61 Halftime Show Odds: Who Could Perform in 2027?

Whether you loved it or hated it, the Bad Bunny halftime performance was the most-watched show ever at a Super Bowl, as 135 million viewers tuned in for the all-Spanish show. As soon as the sugar cane fields, stages, and dancers were off the field, the discussion began on who would dazzle the world at Super Bowl LX at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Next year’s game will be played on Valentine’s Day, and since the last three years have seen men on the stage (Usher, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny), women dominate the betting board. The list is long, but we’ve narrowed it down to our top 7 choices and why they should get the honor. 

1) Ariana Grande (+200)

Ariana Grande is a perfect Super Bowl headliner because she’s one of the few artists alive who can deliver with her elite vocals, has massive pop hits, appeals to a broad demographic, and can deliver with stadium-level production.  Her catalog is stacked with songs that translate instantly in a short halftime set and have the “event” factor. Unlike some other acts, she’s a safe bet to deliver a polished, clean performance with no awkwardness.

2) Sabrina Carpenter (+300)

Sabrina Carpenter is the “new-school” pick — and honestly, the NFL could absolutely pull the trigger in the Super Bowl LXI futures if her current trajectory holds. Why does she fit the bill?  Well, she’s crossing over from pop star to full-on cultural figure, and her brand is rising fast.  Her music is built for short, punchy, hook-heavy performance moments, and her image is polished but not overly polarizing.  If she continues with releasing big hits through this year, the NFL could lock up the ‘biggest pop star of the next era.’

3) Miley Cyrus (+400)

Miley Cyrus checks several boxes for the NFL: mass appeal, big vocals, a hit-heavy catalog, and the ability to mix genres. She can go pop (Flowers), rock (Edge of Midnight vibe), and throw in older classics (Party in the USA) that even casual fans know. Miley also has the “anything can happen” factor, which the Super Bowl loves.  Cyrus also has the kind of personality that makes halftime feel like a real event, not just a concert.  

4) Taylor Swift (+490)

Taylor Swift remains the biggest name in pop music around the planet, and her name has been discussed ever since she started dating Travis Kelce.  There’s no doubt that if Swift hits the stage next year, it would likely produce the largest TV audience in history.  She has the deepest catalog of any modern pop star, and her Eras Tour proves she can create a show that feels cinematic. The Swifties would be out in full force for this to happen.  But many feel she wouldn’t want to upstage her fiancé’s ‘workplace’ and would rather avoid the NFL spotlight. 

5) Post Malone (+500)

Post Malone is tailor-made for the Super Bowl because he’s basically a genre cheat code.  He’s sold out stadium shows in recent years and has all the tools, including pop hooks, rap credibility, rock-star energy, and now even a bit of country.  His setlist would be ridiculous: Circles, Rockstar, Sunflower, Congratulations, White Iverson, Better Now.  He’d also be great for collaborating with a guest and could work well with Morgan Wallen, Lil Wayne, and The Black Keys. 

Other Female Options

Pink (+1200)

While she isn’t one of the favorites, P!NK might actually be one of the best pure performers the NFL could book.  If the league does indeed look to female performers, PINK will fit the role perfectly.  She’s a proven stadium act (she sells out everywhere), her setlist can be loaded with recognizable hits (Raise Your Glass, So What, Just Like a Pill, What About Us), and she has the rare ability to appeal to kids, adults, and older viewers.  Most importantly, she knows how to put on a show. If you have been to one of her shows, she’s all about the production and performance, something the Super Bowl is all about.

Billie Eilish (+1600)

Billie Eilish is not just a global pop star with multiple smash hits and billions of streams — she’s also a dynamic live performer who fills stadiums with energy and emotion. Eilish’s ability to connect deeply with audiences and push creative boundaries would make her halftime set both memorable and culturally significant.  While she seems like a great show, Eilish is very political and made anti-ICE comments at her Grammy’s acceptance speech.  The NFL may not want someone who could use the platform to push their narratives, but then again, many thought Bad Bunny would do the same thing, which he didn’t.

Conclusion

We’re still a year away from Super Bowl 61, but the chatter is underway already with who headlines the halftime show.  Make one thing clear: the NFL will do its homework before deciding who will take the stage.
