Top 10 NFL Prop Bets for Wild Card Weekend
Summary
For Wild Card Weekend, ten prop bets are highlighted. These include Davante Adams scoring a touchdown against a weak Panthers secondary, Jalen Hurts leveraging the “Tush Push” for a score, and Trevor Lawrence capitalizing on a high-scoring game script. Other recommendations are the Texans scoring over 20.5 points, Aaron Rodgers exceeding 20.5 completions, and Luke Musgrave gaining 30+ receiving yards.
Further picks are the Rams exceeding 28.5 points, Josh Jacobs scoring against the Bears, Stefon Diggs surpassing 49.5 receiving yards, and Christian McCaffrey rushing for over 61.5 yards against the Eagles’ vulnerable run defense. Each selection is supported by recent player form, team matchups, and historical performance trends.
While many fans are trying to decide which teams they want to bet on for Wild Card Weekend, others are doing their research on which players probs to wager on. Prop plays are very popular, especially during the playoffs, so here are our top ten plays for this weekend.
Davante Adams Anytime TD Scorer (-140)
After missing a few weeks with an injury, Davante Adams is expected back and led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns in just 14 games. He faces a Panthers secondary that has been inconsistent this season. Adams has shown he’s still the best wideout 1 V 1 and has been clutch in the end zone.
Jalen Hurts Anytime TD Scorer (+110)
Last season, Jalen Hurts had 19 total touchdowns, including the playoffs. He also found the end zone in three of the four postseason games. Hurts loves to score in the playoffs, finding the end zone ten times in nine games. Of those nine, he had a touchdown in six of them. Getting plus money for Hurts is a steal, especially when you know the Eagles will use the “Tush Push” inside the 2-yard line.
Trevor Lawrence Anytime TD Scorer (+190)
The Jaguars-Bills game has the highest total of the weekend, so we can expect to see a lot of points. Trevor Lawrence has found the end zone 9 times this season, seven TDs in the last ten games, and 4 in the last four weeks. The Bills have given up four rushing TDs to quarterbacks this season, and Lawrence has been more confident during this 8-game win streak. He may want to do it himself against this defense.
Texans Team Total OVER 20.5 (-112)
While built on defense, the Texans have scored at least 20 points in 8 of their last nine, all wins. And Houston has averaged 28 points in the previous four weeks. Given the Steelers’ passing defense is awful, 28th overall (243.9), CJ Stroud should be able to get the Texans into scoring range often. Pittsburgh has also given up 53 plays of 20 yards or more this season.
Aaron Rodgers – Over 20.5 Completions (-120)
Aaron Rodgers has had five straight games going over this total and has thrown at least 21 completions in ten games this season. Facing a tough Texans defense, expect him to look for short throws on checkdowns to avoid the pressure. With DK Metcalf returning, he’s another target for AROD.
Luke Musgrave – 30+ Receiving Yards (+110)
With Tucker Kraft out, Luke Musgrave is TE1 in Green Bay. Five of his 24 receptions this season came against the Bears, where he recorded 22 and 38 yards. In five games vs Chicago over his career, he’s had games of 11, 1,9 and 50 yards, all playing second fiddle behind Kraft. He’s had five catches this season of at least 21 yards, and against this Bears passing defense (ranked 22nd), one big reception would cover this alternate line.
Rams Team Total Over 28.5 Points (-110)
The Rams were the highest scoring team (30.5) and were No. 1 in passing yards (268.5). With Adams back and Puka Nacua a menace to any defense, the Rams should be able to move the ball with ease. Not to mention the two-headed backfield with Blake Corum and Kyren Williams and MVP favorite, Matthew Stafford, L.A. can easily reach 30 points against a Panthers side that gave up 28 to the Rams earlier this season.
Josh Jacobs – Anytime TD (-115)
Josh Jacobs scored 14 total touchdowns this season and has scored 30 majors in two seasons since arriving in Green Bay. Jacobs has also scored in three of the four games he’s played as a Packer against the Bears. The only time he didn’t was in Week 16 when he fumbled inside the five, and never saw the field after that. Expect Jacobs to get the ball more often, as he looks to make amends for that gaffe. And if you’ve been following his anytime TD price this season, this is the lowest he’s been.
Stefon Diggs – Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Over his career, Stefon Diggs has averaged 65 yards a game in the playoffs. The Patriots were No. 4 (250.5) in passing yards while the Chargers were No. 5 against the pass (179.9). But Diggs should have opportunities, and his experience should garner him more targets. At home, New England could try to expose the Chargers’ vulnerabilities in defending intermediate and deep routes.
Christian McCaffrey – 61.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
CMC has gone over this total 8 times this season and will get his touches against a below-average defense against the run. The Eagles rank 22nd, giving up 124.4 rushing yards per game. In his last two games vs the Eagles, McCaffrey has run for 93 yards in 2023 and 84 yards in 2022. If San Francisco can establish the run, expect CMC to get the ball often. He averaged 19 carries per game this season.
